There could be a few reasons why your BizNOW card is declining.
Login to your BizNOW app to see your current card balance. If more funds are needed you can request them from your Administrator/s. Click here to learn how to Request Funds.
If you are an Administrator on your BizNOW account then you can move funds from the Vault onto your card.
20% TOLERANCE TIP:
Some merchants will require PrePaid cards to have an additional 20% available on the card to successfully complete a transaction. This is called a '20% Tolerance Tip fee'. It is a feature that protects the merchant and ensures that the PrePaid card being used is active and has an available balance. Such merchants include:
- Gas stations (when paying at the pump)
- Rentals (car and equipment rentals)
These merchants will hold the purchase amount, plus an additional 20%. Once the transaction settles, only the purchase amount will be charged to the card, and the additional 20% will be returned to the card balance. These reversals can take anywhere from 24hrs to 30 days.
If the balance on the card is less than the charge amount, plus the additional 20%, the transaction will decline.
PrePaid MASTERCARD IS NOT ACCEPTED:
Please make sure that the merchant you are using your BizNOW card at accepts PrePaid MasterCards.
